Selecting University signature files in a format appropriate for the medium is critical to the quality of the reproduction. For example, art developed for print (vector artwork) may not be appropriate for a Web site, which requires the use of bitmap art. Conversely, artwork developed for use on the Web should not be used for print applications. Official University Web sites must use the WSU Web templates which included the University signature.

Color specification and mode is also critical to maintaining high-quality reproduction. Artwork prepared for print should be created in the CMYK color mode and created in one, two, or four colors. Artwork developed for the web should be created in the RGB mode.

Digital art files provided on this Web site were created for a variety of applications, for both PC and Macintosh platforms, and in both vector and bitmap formats.
