Intercollegiate Athletics Program

The intercollegiate athletics program uses five levels of customized signatures to recognize the unique role of intercollegiate sports and the role they play in building relationships with the University's constituents. Customized signatures have been created for each intercollegiate sport in which the University participates.

The Level 1 signature consists of two elements: the logotype, which is the words Washington State University set in the official ITC Stone Serif typeface, and the symbol, the traditional, freestanding Cougar head, composed of the letters W, S, and U arranged to form a Cougar head. The signature serves to identify the intercollegiate athletics program in all forms of communications, and its use preserves the integrity of the University's reputation for academic quality, innovation, and leadership in higher education.

Level 2 signatures consist of the same elements as Level 1, combined with the name of the specific sport, also set in the ITC Stone Serif font. Levels 3, 4, and 5 signatures are also available to provide individual teams with maximum flexibility in presenting the University's identity to local audiences.

Level 2-5 signatures are available for the following:

Athletics
Baseball
Basketball
Men's Basketball
Women's Basketball
