Graphic Identity Program

Identity Elements

Distance Degree Programs

Distance Degree Programs uses a customized signature to recognize the unit's major role in the delivery of academic courses statewide, nationally, and internationally.

Distance Degree Programs academic signature consists of two elements: the logotype, which is the words Washington State University and Distance Degree Programs set in the official ITC Stone Serif typeface, and the symbol, which consists of the letters W, S, and U arranged to form a Cougar head, framed by a crest that is accented by a chevron. The signature serves to identify Distance Degree Programs in all forms of communications, and its use preserves the integrity of the University's reputation for academic quality, innovation, and leadership in higher education. A tagline version of the DDP signature is not used.

A shortened version of the academic signature is available when a regular version cannot be used due to space limitations. The shortened version never should be used larger than two inches in width.

Use only authorized artwork when reproducing the signature. This ensures proper and consistent size and space relationships between the signature elements.
